I met my now husband in Sept 2006 after having the best adventure on this website.A friend and I joined for a month and after a year we both had so much fun.You have to take this as it is,a bit of fun.We met some oddballs but they were really in the minority,the majority were good fun and once you afforded them courtesy we generally found it was reciprocated. During our time on this site,I did have some friends who were hugely sceptical,two in particular.One of whom I set up on a blind date with a lovely guy I had met through the site but had no chemistry with,they now are married with baby no 2 on the way! My other friend was out with me one night when I bumped into a guy I had met previously but again no chemistry between us...they got married 9months ago! However in Sept 06 I met my own true love. All subscriptions were terminated,12months to the date we were engaged,12 months later married.And I sit here today with baby no 1 on the way!
My friend who joined with me met a guy not long after I met my husband,but he turned out to be a bit of a rat so she was sworn off the site for a while.Last May12mths ago I persuaded her to give it another go.Within a week she had met her own Mr Right and got engaged last weekend!
You get out what you put in and karma is definitely a big thing.We treated everyone with respect and always saw it as,we'd hate anyone to be a bitch to our brothers,so we always seemed to land on our feet.
Enjoy it,don't take it too seriously,see it as a personal training thing,meeting new people and knowing your own mind....you don't know where it will bring you in the end!
